Prof. Dr. Barbara Cludius – Faculty of Human and Health Sciences

Barbara Cludius has held the position of Professor of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy of the Adult Age within the Faculty of Human and Health Sciences since February 2024.

Barbara Cludius heads the Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy of the Adult Age working group. In her research, she combines (experimental) foundation research with psychotherapy research and investigates the role of transdiagnostic processes, in particular perfectionism and emotion regulation, in the development and maintenance of various psychological disorders. Another of Barbara Cludius' research focuses is the area of obsessive-compulsive disorder. As a licensed psychological psychotherapist, she is co-director of the Psychotherapeutic University Outpatient Clinic across the Lifespan (PULS), which is currently being rebuilt. In 2023, she was awarded the Princess Therese of Bavaria Prize for outstanding academic achievement.

Barbara Cludius
