In support of its knowledge and technology transfer activities, the University of Bremen participates under company law in a number of selected private enterprises. This type of participation forms the foundation for long-term and intensive cooperation to the mutual benefit of both partners.
The Investment Management section of UniTransfer looks after the existing investments, initiates new participation projects, handles exits and supports the Executive Board in exercising the shareholder rights of the University of Bremen.

ATB is an applied research institute whose core competences lie in the development of software solutions in the areas of systems analysis, software systems engineering and knowledge management. ATB has many years of extensive experience in the implementation of EU-funded projects and in the management of international consortia.
Bremen Briteline GmbH is an internet service provider and supplier of broadband internet connections via radio relay and fibre optics. The company operates its own data centre. It is based in the Bremen Technology Park, in close proximity to the university.

HIS eG is an IT service provider specialising in higher education software. The company is based in Hannover and is organised in the legal form of a cooperative.
innoWi GmbH is a patent exploitation agency based in the Bremen Technology Park. The University of Bremen commissions innoWi GmbH to evaluate invention disclosures or to exploit industrial property rights, for example.
