Study description
In combination with a two-semester Master's programme, the subject of study 'Elementary General Studies' (Sachunterricht) trains students for teaching careers in primary schools as well as non-school occupations in the field of elementary education. Elementary General Studies assists in enabling pupils to build a picture of the world they live in, to explore their worldly environment in a methodical way and to gain their orientation. In addition, pupils receive a preparation for subjects taught at a later stage of their schooling.
Elemetary General Studies is an interdsiciplinary subject of study. Students choose between area programmes including courses in the natural sciences and engineering, focusing on biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, earth sciences - or the social sciences with the subjects history, politics, and geography.
