Opening of the garden project
What is urban gardening? In a society in which cities are becoming more and more densely filled with concrete, while plants, people and other animals have less and less space to rest and live, it is important to us to create social meeting places and living spaces. Projects such as urban gardening in particular can be opportunities to exchange knowledge and opinions on climate, social and food policy matters and to bring nature closer again. What do we have planned? We want to build a project that lives from the people who actively take part in it - community-oriented and participatory. Over the course of the project, of course, we want to go beyond the four raised beds we have so far. We have some ideas on how that could look like. But we would like to encourage you to get actively involved and help shape the next steps. What should I bring along? An interest in gardening and a desire to get involved. You don't need any previous knowledge. How can I take part? Come to the opening of our project this Thursday, 25.04., at 4 p.m. on the lawn behind the SFG (53.106169, 8.855872). There will be hands-on activities, music, drinks and snacks. See you on Thursday."
Happy Places: We are Hamlet
We want to go to the theatre with you and watch the play "WE ARE HAMLET" at the Bremen Shakespeare Company!
WE ARE HAMLET is a new multilingual, English-based, inspiring and entertaining reinterpretation of William Shakespeare's Hamlet, created by an international team of artists and theatre makers.
The play explores how people in different contexts answer Hamlet's existential questions: Who am I? Why do I live? What can or must I do?
The play is an international co-production of the Prague Shakespeare Company (PSC), the Odesa Academic Ukrainian Music and Drama Theatre named after Vasily Vasilko (OAU) and the bremer shakespeare company (bsc).
You can register until 25.04.2024 via this link. The number of participants is limited.
Entry is free for enrolled students.
