What is happiness? How can we measure intelligence? Why do we feel compassion towards others? The new Science Clips from Bremen provide the world with short, humorous, and easy-to-understand answers to questions like these.

Science Cliption: Science in four and a half minutes

The project was initiated in cooperation between the Federal State of Bremen, the Bremen economic development bureau Wirtschaftsförderung Bremen GmbH (WFB), Haus der Wissenschaft e.V., and Klub Dialog e.V.

“Our aim is to provide a simple and engaging way to obtain answers to questions that occupy science and society”, says Jens Joost-Krüger from WFB. “Complex topics made easy by experts in their field – in the interest of making science communicable to everyone.” The Science Clips serve as a showcase for the universities in Bremen and Bremerhaven as well as the non-university research institutes located in the State of Bremen.

Themes are selected by an editorial team comprising members of the communications teams of the participating universities and institutes. The concept was developed by IMAGE in MOTION, which is also responsible for screenplay and production. IMAGE in MOTION, a Bremen company, was selected from 54 applications in an EU-wide invitation to tender.
