After the series of terror attacks in Paris last Friday, the European Heads of states or governments called on every European citizen to participate in the Minute of Silence this Monday at 12 p.m.

The Rectorate of the University of Bremen participated and invited every University member to set a sign against violence and terror and for freedom and democracy. “Our university is a place of diversity and peaceful coexistence. We should not let this precious and democratic asset be violated. Our thoughts are with the victims and the families of the attack in Paris as well as those of Beirut,” said the Rector of the University Bernd Scholz-Reiter.
