MATS goes public

Kachel

Internships increase students’ practical work skills and provide them with valuable insights into professional careers and occupational fields related to cultural research. We therefore strongly encourage MATS-students to complete an internship or work-oriented training, ideally during term breaks. Students can receive advice on how best to search for and find an internship placement:

  • in Module 4: Independent Studies
  • at ’Praxisbüro‘ of Faculty 9 (personal counselling for internships by Wiltrud Hoffmann); further information is offered in the lecture series ‘Kuwi als Beruf
  • from the Erasmus & International Affairs coordinators who also give advice on how to combine internships with stays abroad.

Certificate in Transcultural Communication and Diversity Skills

The complementary Certificate is offered as an independent qualification in tandem with studies. It clarifies corresponding course content and advanced areas within the Obligatory Elective Modules for the MA in Transcultural Studies. The workload amounts to 24 CP. Documents relating to the Certificate need to be submitted to Supervisors. Further information is available here.
