Installation mechanic

Installation mechanics for plumbing, heating, and air conditioning technology plan and install complex equipment and systems for the supply systems of buildings. In addition, they are responsible for maintenance and service. Furthermore, they advise and instruct customers, process orders, and transfer the equipment and systems to the respective parties.

Duties include:

  • Applying the dimensions from technical documentation to components

  • Selecting suitable pipes, shaped pieces, fittings, sheets, and profiles

  • Making shaped pipe pieces such as bends or branches, e. g., with cold or hot bending, expanding, flaring, and thread cutting

  • Preparing to lay pipes, e. g., creating wall and ceiling openings

  • Installing radiators and panel or underfloor heating systems

  • Advising and providing guidance for customers, e. g., information about company products and services

  • Cleaning equipment parts and pipelines

  • Setting system equipment, creating maintenance protocols

Bookbinder

Bookbinders who specialize in one-off and special purpose production work in workshops to make one-of-a-kind books and books printed in small runs. They repair damaged books and maps as well as individual pages, and bind collections of loose pages and trade journals into books. In addition, they make portfolios, cassettes, and albums, cut mounts, and mount posters and pictures. They use hand tools and machines to do this work.

Duties include:

Electronics technicians for operating technology assemble systems and installations for energy technology, and for measuring and control technology. They make assemblies and devices, mount them, and commission them. Further tasks include constructing, modifying, and servicing electrical systems and equipment.

Duties include:

  • Measuring and analyzing electronic functions and systems

  • Assembling and connecting electrical equipment

  • Configuring and programming controls

  • Servicing equipment and systems

  • Evaluating the safety of electrical systems and equipment

Warehouse specialist

Warehouse specialists accept goods and store them properly. They prepare deliveries for shipment and forward goods to the appropriate location in the company. In the warehouse, they receive goods, check them and sort them, store them, and group consignments together.

Duties include:

  • Receiving delivered goods, unpacking them, inspecting them for completeness and intactness

  • Storing goods with the use of conveyors, taking the type, quality, volume, and weight of the goods into consideration

Carpenters make products out of wood, wood-based materials, precious metals, and glass.

Duties include:
