University of Applied Sciences Degree

Graduation from a University of Applied Sciences in Germany

If you have successfully completed a degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s or Diplom) at a university of applied sciences, then you have a general university entrance qualification for all German Universities.

Intermediate examination and Vordiplom from a Bremen university

A general university entrance qualification to study at the University of Bremen is also evidenced by having passed the intermediate examination at a Bremen University of Applied Sciences before 31.3.2002. A subject-specific entrance qualification from a Bremen (field-specific) university of applied sciences which was acquired after 01.04.2002 also counts as a subject-specific university entrance qualification. The Bremen (field-specific) universities have meanwhile switched to bachelor's and master's degrees. As there is no intermediate examination in a bachelor's program at the University of Applied Sciences Bremen, this regulation cannot be applied to current bachelor's programs at the University of Bremen.

Vordiplom from a university of applied sciences in another federal state

AVordiplom from universities of applied sciences in other federal states is only accepted as an entrance qualification for the University of Bremen if it can be evidenced by means of a university certificate issued by the competent ministry of culture.

Graduation from a Berufsakademie

Graduation from a Berufsakademie (Vocational College) is only recognized by the University of Bremen as a higher education entrance qualification if it is evidenced by means of a certificate from the competent ministry of culture that entitles the holder to study at a university in the respective federal state.
