Study description

Computer scientists develop and investigate for example multimedia systems, process controls, georeferenced applications, assistance systems, browser games, databases, operating systems, user interfaces, web and smartphone applications, embedded and mobile systems, robots and much more and pay attention to information and functional security, usability and expandability.

The study of computer science deals with the theoretical, practical and technical fundamentals of computer science, its application to solve concrete problems as well as the economic and social effects of these application processes. The research projects in the degree programme cover a very broad spectrum, ranging from technical and theoretical fundamentals to concepts and realisations of information technology systems to questions of social consequences and framework conditions.

In addition to a significant, theoretically based orientation in the application area, the bachelor project in particular is a specialty of Bremen's computer science programs.
