The MA Media Culture and Globalization builds on a BA or on an equivalent degree. The study programme provides not only qualifications in the core areas of media culture research as part of communication and media studies but also wider options of courses in related fields like cultural theory and analysis, media anthropology, information technology and media practice. The MA Media Culture and Globalization aims at qualifying students profoundly and adequately
for a career in the media sector focused on the conceptual side of production and marketing of media and cultural content,
for related occupational fields which are increasingly characterised by mediatisation,
for scientific analysis of current media cultures.
Thus, this MA is aimed at all students interested in a deepening profound scientific and at the same time practice based analysis of contemporary media cultures. It prepares not only for higher employments in media related professions but also for a further scientific qualification by a dissertation.
Application deadline for the MA Media Culture and Globalization is every year on the 15th of June.
