From 2011 onwards, she held as position as a scientific assistant at the TU Dortmund, where she completed her PhD on the topic of selective mutism in multilingual children. She investigated the connection between linguistic and mathematical abilities of children and also the possibilities for language development in inclusive educational contexts at the universities in Dortmund and Potsdam. In Bremen, she would like to answer the question of how children with speech problems can be effectively supported in inclusive educational situations.
