By taking part, you can: expand your intercultural network, work in international teams, strengthen your soft skills, and show engagement beyond your studies. You can also earn a “Professional Star” as part of the YUFE certification system. It’s best to ask your academic advisor whether your participation can also be credited toward your degree. The events take place in English and are open to students from all fields of study.
1. YUFE Challenge Teams — “Enhancing Socio-Cultural Integration for International Students”

Why join?
- You’ll gain experience in teamwork, innovation methods and problem-solving in a real-life context.
- You’ll work with fellow students from across the YUFE network, bringing together diverse perspectives and disciplines.

2. YUFETHON — High-Energy 2-Day Sprint
What’s the YUFETHON?
This is a fast-paced, online event where you collaborate intensively in a short period (e.g., 48 hours) with other students to tackle a specific innovation or social challenge.
Why join?
- It’s ideal if you want a short-term commitment but high impact: quick team formation, big ideas, and immediate collaboration.
- It’s a great way to test your creative mindset, build skills and meet students across Europe.
➡ Register until November 27 here
3. YUFE Gains Lab — Intrapreneurship & Internal Innovation
What is the Gains Lab?
The Gains Lab is designed for students who see an opportunity within the YUFE network (or within their university environment) and want to innovate from within: you’ll develop an idea, work with stakeholders, and implement a solution for lasting impact.
Why join?
- It offers a chance to move from an idea to action within a real organizational context (not just hypothetical).
- You’ll gain innovation, project-management and stakeholder-engagement experience.
➡ Register until November 30 here
Take advantage of these opportunities!
They’re a great way to enrich your student experience, make international connections and develop skills that go beyond the lecture hall. If you’re unsure which event suits you best, you can still register and explore. These programs are designed for students from all disciplines and backgrounds.
