Study description
Objectives / Profile of the Master’s Program
Public Health – Health Care, Health Economics and Health Management (M.A.)
The aim of this program is to train experts in Public Health who are able to independently identify, analyze, and solve complex problems in the fields of health care, health economics, and health management, enabling them to contribute in various roles to an effective, efficient, and equitable health care system.
The didactic concept is based on research-based learning. In this approach, students shape their learning through a self-organized research process. Theories and methods are not learned in isolation but are taught simultaneously and in a practice-oriented manner. A central component is a three-semester research project conducted in collaboration with partner institutions from the health sector.
In addition, students have the opportunity to obtain the degree “Governance and Leadership in European Public Health” (M.Sc.) from Maastricht University (Netherlands) through a double degree program.
