In Febuary 2019, Prof. Dr. Hans-Dietrich Haasis and Annika Marbach visited their project partners of the BMBF-funded project "Policy-based Terminal Operations Planning" in Busan, Republic of Korea. Also attending was Prof. Dr. Tobias Buer from German University of Technology in Oman who had initiated the project when still working at University of Bremen.  A workshop hosted by Pusan National University and a field trip to Busan Port Terminal and Busan New Container Terminal organized by our industrial partner Total Soft Bank gave us important insight into terminal operations and the opportunity to review first results and determine the next steps to advance our joint research.
