Künstler/in: Julianna Kittel

Kurzportrait: I'm a 29 year old Marine Geosciences Student that has a dual affinity for not only science, but art as well. It always brought me peace to watch the works of old masters in galleries. To travel the world to see one particular masterpiece. I painted since I was little, but never took it up as more than a hobby. Yet, I will always admire the beauty of creating whatever the mind desires from a box of paints and a blank canvas. On the side...I love skiing and frogs!

Titel des Werks: Shadow of the Wild West

Maße: 40 x 50 cm

Preis: 120€

Material: Acrylic paint on canvas

Erklärung zum Kunstwerk: In a strange way of life, the Wild West became a theme which brought me friendships I never expected. It's now a deep comfort of mine and a history that I find worth learning. And the Wild West would not be what it was without one of the most iconic animals of North America, the bison. Nearly hunted to extinction, brought back to stable numbers, it's a shadow of those times, of strength and bravery and a symbol of cruelty of mankind and what it can do and undo.
