Doctoral researchers who are interested in the topic are welcome to take part in our information event Funding Programmes for Postdocs on December 3rd.

As competition continues to increase both in Germany as well as internationally, researchers require to
develop their individual research profile. In this regard, third-party funding may play a crucial role in establishing
a successful research career. However, not all funding programs may be suitable to support the
career goals of an individual researcher.
At pivotal points of their careers, especially in transition periods between qualification phases, researchers
often feel the need to deliberate on their competencies and potential demands with regard to their research
profiles. Information on funding and career development as well as awareness on own strengths and interests
are key for taking informed decisions in order to balance various career options.
The workshop is will offer assistance with the further planning of one’s individual scientific career and the
development of one’s research profile, taking into account the strategic use of third party funding sources.
