M.Sc. Yannik Appiarius
Ph. D. Student
Yannik was born in Cuxhaven at the North Sea in 1991. After obtaining his Abitur in 2011, he began studying business chemistry at Kiel University. He joined the group in 2014 for writing his Bachelor thesis, focusing on the synthesis of all carbon analogues of boron and nitrogen containing semiconducting polymers. In 2018, he completed his subsequent Master studies with a thesis, in which great synthetic progress in the growing field of azaborine chemistry could be achieved. Besides the running projects, he wants to extend his scope of activities by developing novel syntheses containing other group 13 to 15 elements in his doctorate, which started in August 2018.
