Curriculum Vitae

Dr.-Ing. Dirk Wenig ist wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter in der Arbeitsgruppe Digitale Medien am Technologie-Zentrum Informatik und Informationstechnik (TZI) an der Universität Bremen. Seine Forschungsinteressen sind NavigationHuman-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Entertainment Computing (EC), er interessiert sich inbesondere für Mobile und Wearable Computing.

2003 begann Dirk Wenig an der Univsersität Bremen sein Studium zum Diplom-Informatiker, das er 2009 abschloss. Von 2009 bis 2012 war er Stipendiat im Graduiertenkolleg Advances in Digital Media geförtdert von der Klaus Tschira Stiftung (KTS). Seit 2013 ist er als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter tätig und schloss seine Promotion 2015 ab.

Ziel seiner Dissertation mit dem Titel Navigation in the Real World and in Virtual Worlds war es, sich moderne Eingabetechnologien zunutze zu machen um natürliche und intuitive Interaktionskonzepte zur Navigation in der realen Welt und Navigation in virtuellen Welten zu gestalten. Gutachter waren Prof. Dr. Rainer Malaka von der Universität Bremen und Prof. Dr. Johannes Schöning von der Universität Hasselt.
