Als Patient, Versicherungsnehmer, Investor, Data Subject, Verbraucher und in vielen anderen Situationen des Alltags: Informationspflichten und Einverständniserklärung sind sowohl im europäischen als auch im nationalen Recht eine wichtige Voraussetzung. In allen Bereichen des Rechts – dem Privatrecht, dem Öffentlichen Recht und dem Strafrecht – wurden Informations- und Zustimmungspflichten zu einem Eckpfeiler. Zustimmung ist dabei eine wesentliche Voraussetzung der Legitimation. Gleichzeitig ist der freie Wille nicht grenzenlos. Die erste YUFE Law Conferece setzt sich mit Informationspflichten und Zustimmungserfordernissen sowie deren Grenzen in verschiedenen Bereichen des Rechts aus europäischer und rechtsvergleichender Perspektive auseinander. Am ersten Tag liegt der Schwerpunkt u.a. auf dem Medizin- und Versicherungsrecht. Am zweiten Tag stehen Informations- und Zustimmungspflichten als Mittel des Verbraucher- und Investorenschutz im Mittelpunkt. English: As a patient, as an insurant, as an investor, as a data subject, as a consumer and in many other situations in everyday life: Informed consent is an important legal requirement both in national and in EU law. It has become a central element in all areas of law, i.e., private, public, and criminal law. Consent is, thereby, a cornerstone of the legitimation. At the same time, freedom of will is limited. Informed consent is, therefore, not always enough. The first YUFE Law Conference addresses information duties and its limits in a variety of different areas from an EU law or from a comparative perspective. The first day is focussing inter alia on medical and insurance law. On the second day, informed consent as a tool of consumer and investor protection is in the centre of the discussion.
