Christopher Markus Brinkmann studied Media management (B.A) and Information and Communication Science (M.A) at the University of Applied Science Mittweida. His research interest covers cross media communication and the transfer of knowledge in municipalities as well as rural areas. He wrote his master thesis on the dialogue communication. in municipalities while working with a research group for cross media impact in Mittweida. His doctoral thesis is within a cooperation between Bremen University and the University of Applied Science Mittweida on the analysis of the opportunities that structured networking holds to organize the knowledge of citizens as local stakeholders. The examination of relations between local networks and their synergies is of high relevance in this context. Inital points are Citizen science and science dissemination. The university town of Mittweida (in Saxony) presents itself as the object
of study.
